Re: pedal ?

Taking out the steering column and the ABS computer makes it a lot easier.

I am having a hard time picturing it, since I had the dash and steering column out when I pulled it

Re: pedal ?

There are seven nuts and one bolt holding them to the firewall on m6 cars. There is a bracket on the front of the pedals that bolts to the pedals and the bottom of the dash. I take that bracket completly off. The abs computer is in a bracket to the far left next to the top of the pedals. It gets in the way of the m6 pedals. I have removed the pedals without removing this but it makes it easier. The four nuts at the top of the pedals that go to the firewall are on the studs that mount the brake booster. Getting the room to get the pedals off those studs is the hard part. If you wanted to you could probably move the booster forward a little to make it easier but I've never done that. I have seen posts saying that people have changed the pedals without removing the column but I don't see how. Once you get the nuts off its just twisting the pedals around untill you can pull them out.
