patching holes in ABS plastic (ie. intake)

im pretty sure thats the material of my K&N intake. anyway i bought it used and its previous owner had the IAT relocation mod done so its got a big hole in it. i went ahead and did the mod but now i'd like to reverse it and put it back to stock.

my first thought was a tire patch, but those wont hold up to 15+ inches of vacuum. lol. so does anyone have any ideas on covering this hole?

I had a buddy of mine patch my K&N with fiberglass and it has worked very well.
