PASSING GAS or SMOG!!!
PASSING GAS or SMOG!!!
I want long tubes and ORY pipe. And I was wondering if anyone has any tips or stories ideas on how they "passed smog inspection" Did you bribe the technician for a guarantee pass? Give alcohol in exhange for smog cert?
Re: PASSING GAS or SMOG!!!
In a thread I sarted today, a 95 owner passed with a gutted cat he did not even know about. Of course, this may not be your case depending on the condition of your car. I would not even attempt if I had to beat the sniffer, UNLESS you have a back-up plan (buying alcohol or bribing is not a good back-up plan). What I mean is, expect to fail: enjoy the exhaust until emissions (if emissions is soon wait till after), but expect to have to throw some cats on when/if you fail. Don't be caught off-guard, and have some cash to pay for anything necessary so you can pass emissions at the next attempt. Also, if you're in college - be sure you can plan to have work done if necessary (and if timing is a factor).
Re: PASSING GAS or SMOG!!!
The smog ***** attacked st. louis several years ago, raped us the entire time, and now they're thinking about doing away with emissions testing completely! woohoo!!!
It sucks living in the only county in the Missouri/Illinois area that requires smog testing. Fortunately, my backup plan is my house at the Lake of the Ozarks. Just use that as my address and bam! No smog test is required to legalize my car. Fortunately she always passed with flying colors...

Re: PASSING GAS or SMOG!!!
Not catching on? I am not retarded.. but I also dont think of the guy who sticks the analyser in my cars exhaust who happens to look like he is homeless as a law enforcement official.
Re: PASSING GAS or SMOG!!!
some guys had talked about getting there cars to pass by welding a fitting into the exhaust and hooking it up to a compressed air tank in the car. I believe i read 2 guys successfully passed this way.
