Passenger Side Window Rattle

My passenger side window seems very flimsy the way it is mounted. It rattles very bad while driving when it is about half way down. Wondering what part is broke on the inside to cause this.

thanks
Dan

Re: Passenger Side Window Rattle

on 93-94 cars the support brackets on the outside are connected to the weather stiping and I had to replace both on my car, GM fixed the problem in 95 so when you replace the part, it will fix the problem for every since the replacement piece is the newer weather strip with the upgrade on it.

Open up the door panel and see what is going on. No more wondering.

Re: Passenger Side Window Rattle

I'll open it up as soon as I can. I am curious as well. I'll let you all know what I find. I am going to be chaging power window motors on both sides sometime this week, that is why I am asking. Now that I know what to look for I will update everyone on my finds.

Thanks
Dan

On mine, the part that is black and points up to guide the window by the mirror is broken and the glass sticks out more then it should causing a rattle and wind noise at above high speed Mine's loosened up alot over the years

And if those break and you have window tint, you can pretty much bet it will tear a hole in the tint.

Re: Passenger Side Window Rattle

Well i found out what the problem was while i was changing my power window motors. There is a rail on the back side of the door that a little wheel slides in. The rivet on the back of this wheel is becoming loose. Well yesterday it finally broke and it lets the window slide forwards and backwards in the door as well as side to side. I was wondering if anyone had a diagram of the parts inside the door or a part number for the part i need to replace.

thanks
Dan

Like my post here?

I can't say which part you need exactly, as there are 2 or 3 different "rails".
