Parking Light Question

Why am I having such a hard time tryin to remove my parking lamp housings in my 2000 Camaro? Its almost seems like the housing is too big to come out of the bumper. Anyone elese have a hard time trying to remove these things, or am I just mentally chalanged?

Re: Parking Light Question

You can't pull them straight out through the front bumper like most cars. After you remove the 3 screwed holding them in (thru the bottom access doors), you have to snake them thru either the top or bottom. It takes a while and is VERY frustrating, but eventually they'll just drop out the bottom. Getting the new ones back in is the same. Good luck.

Re: Parking Light Question

I have the 3 bolts removed and the housing is free to move around, but Im just having trouble getting it free from the "pocket" that it sits in. Ill give it another try tommorow.

Re: Parking Light Question

It's hard to describe how you have to manuever it to get it to drop out, but if you keep at it, it'll just suddenly slide right now and you'll wonder why it took so long.

I had to change both lens out 3 times on my old '02 Z28 because they kept getting moisture in them, and did it once on my "new" '99 SS so I know it's not the easiest thing. Not as easy as it should be anyway.
