Pacesetter vs Flowtech
I love my Pacesetters. I was on the waiting list for the first batch and I didn't have any fitment issues at all. No rubbing or banging. They perform as well as Hookers or even FLPs. The coating is nice. The only thing that is garbage really is the y-pipe.

Did you have Hookers and FLPs, dyno them then switch to Pacesetters and dyno them??????????????

thanks,
I have the Flowtechs, and I havent had a single problem with them. I was asking the same question as you are a few months back. I got more negative fedback from Pacesetter users, and nearly none from the Flowtech users. Great fitment, and great clearance along with my 2" drop. I went Flowtech, and would reccomend them to any fellow F Body owner.
All LT headers will give about the same HP gains. And no Al, I have not owned every single set of LT headers and dyno'd them. But I did read every post on headers both here and at ls1tech using the search features. What I learned from hours of research is what makes expensive headers worth more then the less expensive ones is better fitment, better looks/craftsmenship and in some cases stainless steel (a huge plus). But as far as HP gains go they all are pretty much the same. One set may give 3 or 4 HP over another but nothing big enough to spend hundreds more for.
Pacesetter and Flowtech are both fine headers. The Pacesetters had a bad rep for awhile but have been redesigned to correct some fitment issues (especially in the Y-pipe). Now they are much better from what I hear so it's really a toss up. I would get whichever one is at a better price and or in stock at the place you buy from. Either will be fine but just make sure you pay the little extra and get coated ones.
Good Luck

i highly doubt it would even be that...unless the primaries are different size.
considering LTs only give 20hp or so...3-4 more would be a considerable amount!!!
i'd pay $100-200 more for a proven 4hp from one brand to another.

I just got my Pacetsetters not too long ago and I LOVE them...great clearance, no install issues WHATSOEVER
The coating is still the same as the day I ought them, not a scratch anywhere, even on the collectors...looks great
I have never even seen a set of flowtechs so I cant comment on those...
see my sig if you want to check'em out....I have pics of them before and after the install, plus, undercar pics if your interested
BTW those are the new design....supposed to fix the issues with clearance, etc.
and the flange is nice and thick and they seal really good, even with the bolts they supply you with(non-locking)
I havent had to retighten them yet (crosses fingers) but I suspect I will simetime, as every set of headers I have ever had, I had to retighten them eventually.
The price is right, too....did I mention the coating looks great?
