Overheats when I turn the car off...

While I'm driving and when the car is idleing it stays below 200...as soon as I turn the car off the radiator starts boiling and coolant pours out the overflow...anyone have any recommendations?
I'm probably going to bleed the system first and see if that doesn't help any..

That would be my guess, let it get warm, than let it cool ALL the way off. Than bleed. I just did an intake on mine, bled it like that and got all the air out in ONE shot. It was a big shot of air to. I would try that first. Hope this helps, Eric L

Maybe you have a bad cap.

I think I'll replace that also...are the autozone/oreilys caps any good?

Thanks for the help...

Thats all im runnin on my 9 second car, I would just test the cap first. Any radiator shop should have a tester. Just take your cap in there and have them test it. It looks like a radiator neck attached to a hand pump device that pressurizes the cap, tells holding pressure on a gauge. Hope this helps, Eric L
