Overheating?
Overheating?
My car is randomly overheating. I've tried to see if I can hear the coolant bubbling, but it's so quiet I can't really tell if the car is actually overheating or if it's the sensor.
It VERY quickly overheats while stopped, then cools off really quick when I get moving again.
What could be going on?

The fans shouldn't come on at the normal temp. they come on well after where my car normally runs at.
It's heating up FAST. Like I come to a stop where the car is just past the first tick and withing 2 seconds it's trying to get to the red already.
That's not normal.

So.......Are the fans coming on or not? Fans are what keep the temperature down while at idle, stop and go traffic etc. etc. Once you get going the fans shut off because the air from outside cools the radiator. And no, the fans don't come on well after normal temperature, if you do alot of city driving during the day they will probably never shut off.
The fans ARE coming on. It only overheats with the A/C on??
Could this be caused from the heat exchanger being clogged? I am not Mr. Cooling system.
There's nothing in between the condenser and radiator.
I bled the coolant system the other day.
Radiator cap appears to be working. I pulled the tab on it and it released some air.

Sounds like a cooling fan problem. Look and see if they are working and if you have access to a scanner, hook it up and see exactly what the temp is and if the reading is really off (like -40) then suspect a faulty temp sensor.
