Which oil? Motor, power steering, tans???

If its engine, don't bother. It isn't needed.

because you have your mods listed in your sig.

And oil coolers are not a "need one for a such and such year, make , model" type of mod. All oil cooler kits that I know of are generic.
You need to find a cooler that will have the cooling capacity that you feel that you need. Then you need to find a sandwich adapter for above the oil filter. And last you need to figure out how much hose that you need.

Because I've talked to several road racing types who have more mods than you that say with the aluminum block, an oil cooler makes the engine run too cool.

Re: oil cooler

Well, i don't need a massive cooler, a small one will work. It gets pretty hot out here, and yesterday my oil temp was at 235. The outside temp was only 85. Usually it runs around 200 when the outside temp is like 60-70. I'm worried when the outside temp hits triple digits, like it does every summer here.

so sufice it to say, this is not a simple install?

Re: oil cooler

I know this guy that runs two oil coolers since he runs the car on race tracks (Thunderhill, Laguna Seca, etc). I would say in some conditions, it's needed very much.
