oil change

Ok not to long ago I changed my oil in the camaro, I use synthetic oil this time I put a 2 quart wix filter in. I've noticed that the oil pressure gage is about a 1/4 lower than before doesn't go lower than 20 psi at idle and as high as half way on gage when driving. Before it was higher when I used a smaller filter same oil. My guess is more filter for oil. Little less psi. Does anybody think its a good or bad idea for using the bigger filter, the car has 100,000 mi on it.

Re: oil change

bigger filters last longer. thats the only difference. the decreased oil pressure could be because you switched to thinner oil, or the old stuff was sludged up and held more pressure. there are countless possible reasons. bigger oil filter isnt one of them. by the way, bigger oil filter does mean your car now takes more oil. be sure to check the dipstick, and dont just add what the car should take.
