My interior lights won't come on when the passenger side door is open,but the drivers side works fine. I took out the switch and tested it and it was fine. There is power getting to the switch. Any ideas????

 

Bad switch? If there's good power to it, and it seems to be pushing in and out ok, something has to be wrong in between. Try swapping the drivers side switch you know is working to the passenger side and see what's up. If it works, just get a new one, if it doesn't, you know something else is the culprit.

 

There may be power getting to the switch but is power getting past the switch? The contacts inside may be dirty. Get some brake parts cleaner and spray inside the switch. Then work the switch a few times and spray again. Then used compressed air to blow any of the left over stuff out.

Could be a loose wire too.

 

replaced switch.still doesn't work.

 

The new switch is in and the switch is getting power. I tried to trace the blk/wht wire to find out where it goes,but it seems to go underneath the dash and i can't get my hand in there to find out where. Not only does my light not come on,it also controls the RAP feature,so the power doesn't go off when i open that door.
