no low fuel light?

I'm still getting new to my camaro and ran out of gas on the road. I put in a gallon to get me to a gas station. My question is: is there a low fuel light? I would check the owners manual but I don't have one.

My 94 does not have one.

Is your gauge broken?

I don't think my gauge is broken, but it jumps up and down. I left the house with 1/3 of a tank. I go about 10 houses down and I'm at 1/8 of a tank. I go about 20 miles and its back up to 1/3.
That's stupid... no low fuel light?

Most people depend on the gauge, but no, no low fuel light.

I guess I have to get used to it. All the cars I've driven I would go till the light came on then fill up.

If the gauge is broke, I would suggest fixing it to prevent this from happening again, no one wants to run out of gas. Keep in mind the LT1 gas tank is shaped odd, and a quarter tank is more like an 8th.
