No Heat

I have a 94 Z28 and I have little to no heat comming out of the vents with the heater on. The blower motor is blowing plenty of air out, just not hot or even warm. I'm thinking maybe there is blockage @ the heatercore. One of the lines going to the core gets hot when the motor is warmed up, and the other one doesnt. Is there a valve that could block water flow through the heater core? The car has 160k. Thanks
-Rob

you can disconnect those lines either at the water pump or at the firewall and blow them out with water. i did mine at the firewall with a garden hose.

drain the radiator, find the lines going from the water pump to the fire wall of passanger side. disconnect 2 hoses from water pump and flush with garden hose....at the fire wall is a better place to disconnect the lines and flush but it is more of a pain. i have the same problem on my 94 w/160 degree thermostat. flushed at the wp and now it puts out a fair amout of heat considering the 160 stat and nebraska cold weather.

if you can get compressed air that works great too .. do it at the water pump its easier , just dont spill alot of water on the opti spark .

Nobody searches. This question is asked almost every day when the weather is cold.
