No Dash Lights!!
I started my car after my night class tonight and i had no dash lights. I checked the dimmer switch and it was all the way up. I checked the fuses when i got home and i found the dimmer switch fuse was blown so i replaced it. I tried the lights and the fuse blew instantly. I tried again and the fuse blew instantly.
Any help on this? i kind of need dash lights to drive at night. What could cause this as i have not done any recent modifications to the car and the lights were working before without issue.

After completely rewiring a '94, I'd say replace the light/dimmer switch. It'll cost you about $10-20 on ebay. If that doesn't work there's a chance you've got a short in the actual wiring. If I remember correctly there's a gray wire that goes to each dash component that needs night time illumination. Those wires are simply gathered together and clamped. There's a possibility the clamp came loose and your shorting there, but pretty unlikely. If I were you I'd try a new switch first, then look at the wiring, maybe even the instrument cluster. I'll warn you though, if it is in the wiring, you're gonna have a hell of a time getting to it.
i tend to agree about teh dimmer switch. I also belive that it feeds through the headlight switch as well. that would be my next guess. you could always do it the easy/dangerous way and remove the fuse, insert a paper clip and watch for the smoke
