No A/C

Hey guys I just replaced my ac-compressor with a brand new AC-Delco Compressor and the computer shuts off the compressor after it has been running for about 2-3 min. If you unplug the battery and reset the computer it will turn on again but only for 2-3 min. Anyone have any idea why?

Re: No A/C

The computer monitors A/C pressure; if your pressure in the lines is too low it will shut off.

Re: No A/C

Meaning I have a leak right? What are some good places to look for a A/C leak?

Re: No A/C

My problem started with my A/C not working, no cold air. I also had a DTC for the A/C clutch not engaging, I figured it was the A/C clutch, changed the compressor and its the same problem.

My friend's 95 has a slow leak through the AC schrader valve. I'm sure a shop could pressure test the system and find the leak.

Maybe you overcharged the system!

Did you add Ester Oil into the new compressor before installing it?
