Newbie here. 94 M6, 383 stroker, Vortech, 4:10gears, edelbrock headers.
bad MPG. I have high idle, about 1700rpms. Where does my oil go? gauge reads 60 to 80lbs but I'm putting about 2quarts every 200miles. No leaks and no smoke from tailpipe. Thanks in advance

 

Check your coolant for oil. Use a flash light and a mirror to check around the engine bay(look behind the intake manifold). Look for oil being blown down the bottom side of the car.

Drive the car and run the RPMS up to about 4k then let off leaving it in the same gear, or if its an automatic downshift to a lower gear and let the engine compression slow the car down. while you do this look in the rear view mirrors for white smoke. 2 quarts a week has got to be traceable..

Check for vacume leaks. vacume leaks can cause a high idle.

4.10 gears+ 383 cubic inches+blower= bad gas mileage...
