DSM stands for Diamond Star Motors.

Thanks for the parts info. Do they have websites?

I am planning to fix the little problems with the car and then either rebuild the one I have or look into a 383 stroker. I have a friend with a 305 tpi motor that came out of a vette that he paid near nothing for and he has no need for it so I may end up going that route too. Just depends where the funds land come winter time.
Removing your LT1 to install a TPI is a bad move. The LT1 is a *far* superior motor. Many people will laugh at you if you do that swap. Besides, why would you trade your 350 for a 305? 305's are worthless.

Not to mention the hood won't close. The TPI is too tall. The LT1 was designed specifically to be low profile and fit under the hood of a 4th gen F-body.

I could rant about this all day. There are a million reasons not to do that swap.

Thanks for the info! I wasnt really sure what was all entaled with the install, but I defiantly wont be downgrading now since there is known install problems.

I was also wondering if anyone knew of a site or place that sells engines that have 30k miles on them for a discount price. When I owned my talon there was a company in China that did this with trannies and engines all the time. I was just curious of perhaps they did the same things with the 350's.

Considering cost, is a rebuild the way to go or a 383? IE: how much more would it cost me to purchase a 383 over a rebuild. I am looking for a reputable company that sells these 383's for our cars.

Thanks.

Update.

I would like to thank this forum for helping me resolve one of my problems. I was able to fix the ABS INOP problem by simply fixing the third brake light. I went through a drive through and asked the attendant if my light was working. Sure enough it wasnt. I replaced the bulb and whala! My passenger seat moves like a rollercoaster, but it seems as though the right rear bolt closes to the seatbelt is stripped out and you can move it out of the floor board. So I am more than likely going to have to tap the floor board and get a bigger bolt. Pretty easy fix once I get the tap.

Now the engine...

The injector wires were cut in one place and I am simply going to purchase new injector wires off of ebay or some other place similar to fix this little problem. The oil pan gasket is being replaced tomorrow by a buddy. So all the things that needed attention to should be complete by the end of this week.

I will be getting my lt1 rebuilt this winter. So far I have purchased the following upgraded parts.

1. LT4 Hotcam Kit
2. Hooker Headers
3. Dual Exhaust
4. K&N Filter

I am looking to purchase the following parts in the future.

1. Heads Ported and Polished by lloyd elliot
2. 52mm Holley Throttle Body
3. Cold Air Intake
4. LT4 Timing Chain
5. 30/lb injectors

Mylgoals are for a 12.5 second car.
