I'm guessing that if I was 16 with a Z28 I woulda wanted an SLP system because of how obnoxious they are . I'm an old fart now and Borla would probably be my choice because I like nice stuff.

I went with mangaflow, good sound, stainless steel, easy on the wallet too. It's quiet when you're crusing on the freeway or around town. Hooker is pretty good too. Check out http://www.ls1sounds.com/

Re: new here please read

I voted Borla. A couple of officers at work have it on their cars and they have a very unusual sound. I love it. When my cheap Flowmaster rots out I'm getting the Borla. It makes the car sound like the engine has really been modified and not just loud like those wimpy Honda's running around with all noise and no speed. The cars are a 2000 Stang GT and a Miata. Another guy with a G35 coupe is getting it now.

SLP offers the 2 on the left, dual dual, loudmouth, and loudmouth 2. They are not all obnoxiously loud.

Borla is too expensive for what you get. If you're going to spend a lot of money, get a Corsa.

Otherwise, go with Magnaflow.

I love my magnaflow. It sounds good at idle, on the freeway, and great at WOT. Stainless, looks good, easy to install, easy on the wallet. Great system.

Yeah, everyone needs a dual 4" exhaust, because we all have 800+hp.

How's your e-**** doing these days? By the sounds of things, it might not fit in a Mufflex pipe.

Re: new here please read

Single 4" or you can also get single 3.5"..... If a stock LS1 will see significant gains from dual 3" over a single 3", then the engine can handle a 3.5 or 4" sinlge pipe.

and why do you ask about my e-****??? Sorry, I don't swing that way.

AFAIK, on a stock engine, dual 3" doesn't help much more than single 3", unless the mufflers are restrictive.

Nevermind. I'm sure the people that were supposed to get the joke got the joke. I just didn't realize you weren't one of them.

Re: new here please read

Check out Mrr23's dyno between the Borla and Bassani true dual.

Even on a stock engine there is a nice gain under the curve.

Re: new here please read

slp is way too loud and is raspy as s.h..i..tt, borla is way too expensive and is pretty raspy with the plate all the way open, magnaflow is perfect, its what i bought, stainless, only an hour to install, sounds good, deep throaty, no rasp, maybe a little at top end but that can be ecpected with almost all catbacks.
