I have been stripping my car to race. I plan to cut away the metal just below the windshield in the engine bay where the wipers were. I measured 4" from the stock hood to the glass. I am thinking of getting a hood from VFN made for an extended nose they make and trimming to fit at the window. I would have them mold a cowl to the hood three inches farther back then stock. Does anyone have a better idea for a pin on fiber glass hood?

 

I would leave that metal alone and buy a regular pin on glass hood from vfn. there's not THAT much metal there at all... unless you're trying to los like 3 pounds.

 

With all the extra money you would spend on a custom hood, you could put towards a k member.
