New AC Compressor is leaking

I replaced my AC Compressor about 1 1/2 years ago, and this spring I had to recharge it. I noticed that it was leaking, so I checked it out, and it looks like it is coming from the front of the compressor, as well as the rear where the hoses hook up. Does anyone know why this could have happened? It's a brand new Delphi unit, I figured that it may be more reliable than a rebuild. Is it something that I should just remove and see if I can get it replaced?

The place where the line goes into the back of the compressor could be leaking to due a bad o ring installation...i did that on my car and all of the freon leaked out. The front...dunno, my brother just put a compressor in his 83 hurst olds (cutlass) and it started leaking, it was a delphi.

the clutch and drive pully assembly has a ceramic seal on it and natuually weeps out small amounts of freon to keep the seal luberacated. nothing excessive though.very very minimal

I figured that the o-ring went bad, and I'm going to see if maybe that is giving me the perception that it's the front bearing. If not, it may be the compessor, because there is a lot more than a normal amount of oil coming from it.

did you attach the rear bracket to engine mount? I decided this was over-engineered and useless during my 383 install so I excluded it after my 383 install since I was able to push it to the side during the remove/reinstall so no lines were opened... shortly after the re-install I noticed some oil starting to drip from the case o-rings.. so I immediately re-installed the rear mount and since things seem ok.

I blame this one on operator error since the compressor was likely shaking or flexing without the rear mount. Make sure it's tight if it is installed.

I did put that bracket back on, but I wonder if I canted it or something to make it leak that fast.
Would to much compressor oil blow the seals?
