In Need of A Z28 or SS

Okay to make a long story short, I have a 98 V6 Camaro and my dad just got a new higher paying job, there's a catch however... to get to work every morning he's ganna have to use MY car which means I'm out of a car and my personal way to get to school till 7:00 P.M. My mom is going to give me a ride but only for so long and my mom can't drive my car (I don't trust her with it either...) thats why my dad has to use it instead.

Gets down to this bone and basic fact... if I can't find my dad a relatively cheap Z28 or SS with T-Tops, I'm out of a car for the remainder of the school year... I doubt if we could afford anything above 9K... He won't accept a V6 either because he already had a Z...

Any suggestions? or am I screwed?

You should be able to find a pretty good car for aroun 9k But prob not a SS. Hell my friend just got a Z28 with 75k on it for 5.4k. The only reason i think the price was so low as that it was teal. It had t-tops and everything and his wife drove the car all the time. I found my car for about 8.5k and that was at a dealership out of the paper. To get the best prices i would look in the paper and also look at private sells.

I almost forgot, it also has to be financable... I would assume private sales are cut out in this case...

Just so you know most banks wont finance a car with over 75k miles on it, at least not in TX. (under 9k with under 75k miles is gonna be tough).

That might make your situation a little tougher. And you can finance through a bank privately without going through a dealership.

I saw this on another post about trying to finance an older car. Go to either www.capitalone.com or www.bankrate.com

I guess they have some forms you fill out and it approves you for a loan for a certain amount. Then they send you a blank check. Whenever you find out whatever car you want you fill out the check up to the amount they approved you for. That way it doesn't matter how old the car is or how many miles it has, just depends what you can get approved for.

Har Har Har, In my dreams... it can't, repeat CANNOT be anything above 9K and it HAS to be financible with at the most 2K down, I would presume all ebay items are cut out the deal in this case. Even 8k is pushing it right now but I know Z's are way more expensive than my daily driver V6...(I know I'm asking for alot but I've GATTA get my car back) It has to be an Auto too because it's ganna be a commuter car, not an autocross master...

If I go to either of those banks I can buy any car I want within the loan amount they give me regaurdless o milage?
