need some help!?!?!
need some help!?!?!
Alright heres the deal. I own a 94 Z28 Lt1. have a little issue with the motor. Its locked up. Ding Ding Ding we got a winner. I've already made up my mind i'm not buying a stock Lt1 motor,I want a 383 Stroker. Theres 2 on ebay that i'm looking at and I could use your help as I don't know much about engines. Which one of these engines do you think is better?
CHOICE 1:

CHOICE 2:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LT1-3...QQcmdZViewItem
Please tell me which one you think is the better of the 2. And or what you think as I could really use the help.
Thanks
Doug

Personally, I would be a little leary of buying a motor off of ebay where you know little about the actual build-up, who did it, and what kind of job was done. I would be more inclined to give these guys a call first and see what they could do for a 383 stroker. www.victoryracingengines.com
agreed about the ebay deal.. unless they are saying some kind of warantty?? one other way is to earch for used cars and recondioton it... I have heard of people gigivng stuff away that is running just fine ( like a 69 bird that cranked for 2k)
perosonal opion if your doing this yourself it is best to get a new enginge that is a close as possible to the original enginge that way you have less stuff to mess with ( like wire harness etc.,) or if you are prepared to dive into that stuff the bigger the better.. the 350 is a good enginge and you can get new for about the same price you saw on ebay. for example chekc out this link I found online ( I have never used these people so can't say anything about their reputation but at least can see the pricing)
