Hey guys ... I'm drawing an absolute blank here. I just bought a 1983 that needs some TLC (that's why I bought it, good deal, good engine/tranny, something to fix up ) and I need a part, a seal or weather stripping to be exact, and I cant even begin to think of what to call it specifically. Anyhow, go to any car door and look at it with the window rolled up. Look at the base of the window and inbetween the door and the glass, there is a flimsy strip of rubber or other material depending. What are we calling that these days? Any input would be great! Thanks!

 

In the 4th gen parts manual, what you're referring to is called the "SEALING STRIP, FRT S/D WDO OTR" which I interpret as the sealing strip, front side door window outer - GM's nomenclature probably applies to 4-door vehicles as well.

I don't know if they call it the same thing for the 3rd gen, but hopefully you've got a place to start.
