Need new seats or OEM seat covers...
Need new seats or OEM seat covers...
After 252,000 miles I finally wore a hole in the drivers side seat bolster on my '94. Does anyone know where I can get OEM seat covers? Or if someone has seats for sale in nearly new condition (no stains or obvious wear at all), let me know.

TABAHR, do they do OEM style covers? I'd really like to keep the OEM look.
The 4L60E when out at around 169,000 miles, but that is to be expected. I used to drag race it at the track fairly often. I'd say it was doing pretty good to last 169,000 miles. At that time, I bought a used T-56 and put it in the car, that was almost four years ago.
The stock rear had 2.73's, which made the car a pig when launching with a T-56, but it was nice on the highway (80mph & something like 1,600 RPM). After a year or so of the T-56, I swapped in a used 3.42 rear. No problems with either rear except the posi-trac unit is shot, I think they are only good for around 100,000 miles or so, depending on how you drive. The rear is fine, unless I throttle it going around a corner, it will light up the inside tire (because the posi is shot). I think this rear (from a '97 SS) has a total of about 140,000 miles on it.
The engine is awesome. For five years, I bet it saw redline ten times a day, every day. You'll never convince me that domestics aren't reliable. It still has good power, and uses very little oil (Mobile 1, changed every 5k-6k miles). Holy crap, I've used nearly 80 gallons of engine oil in this car, thats $1,700 worth of Mobil 1!
The only work I've ever done on the engine is pull the intake manifold, which it needs again because the intake is leaking oil very slowly. I've never even had a valve cover off. When this engine finally dies, I'll put in a crate LT1. I changed the first opti at somewhere around 140,000 miles. I put on a used one that had 40,000 miles on it, so I guess the current opti has about 200,000 miles on it. Probably should change that this summer.
I still trust the car enough that I drove it ~1,800 miles to Minneapolis at Christmas. I've also driven the car to Chicago, New York, Washington DC, New Mexico, Rode Island, Detroit, Bowling Green, OshKosh, and darn near every corner of Texas.
This summer, I want to go to Colorado, not sure if I'll fly or drive.
I swear I've gone through about nine complete sets of Performance Friction brake pads on this car. Gotta love the lifetime warranty.
They didn't think I'd take them seriously. I have no intentions of ever selling this car, so every new part I buy is lifetime warranty.
So what do you think my car is worth?

I bought 2 brand new APC seats around X-mas for $230 shipped. They are black/gray. I've got the passenger side in using the stock sliders, the driver's side slider is different and I haven't had a lot of time to work on it, so I'm still using the stock driver's seat. I still want to maintain the power seat slider so it's taking some ingenuity to be able to use it.
