Need help with under the axle duals

Hi, i have had my dumped duals for about a week and the vibrations are already getting to me. I was going to have a shop run them under the axle and maybe add 2 more mufflers to tone it down a bit. Does anyone have any opinions on this setup or a different alternative to runnning them under the axle?
Thanks

Ditch the turndowns and run straight bullets. See how you like that first.

dont run them under the axle, it looks stupid and clearence will suck.

what way is your dumps facing? have them angle away from the ground that way the sound isnt boncing back off the ground.

I would dump before the axle vs. under it....just a suggestion.

I dont think one on each side over the axle is an option. If it was i think thats what everyone would have. I think the panhard bar mounting location is in the way. Some one clear this up for me if im dumb.

Re: Need help with under the axle duals

I have it dumped right now and the interior noise and vibrations are pretty irratible for my Daily driver. I know a few guys who have under the axle and they have no complaints, the ground clearance wouldnt be anyworse than it is now plus if i have to use a lift i could easily disconnect the tail pipes and run dumps if i feel like it. Call me crazy but i think under the axle looks pretty cool, just my honest opinion.

Re: Need help with under the axle duals

put some decent mufflers on it...

i have a cammed ls1 with 3" duals...and am running magnaflow 4x9" mufflers and it sounds GREAT.

almost no interior resonance at highway speeds and they are as thick as a bullet so clearance is not much of an issue.

if you want to see over the axle setup...checkout Gripenfelter's setup...do a search...i posted a link recently in regards to it, and his thread is not that old either
