Need help changing cat on 2000 v6 Firebird

The cat on my wifes v 6 Firebird is plugged up, are you guys removing the whole Y Pipe, or cutting the cat out with a sawzall? It appears the GM Cat is part of the Y Pipe, its welded on.

Yeah, you should still be under warranty. The emissions parts are warranted for much longer than the non-emissions parts.

If the warranty is for 8 years and you have a 1997 I don't see how that works unless it's less than some mileage limit

Also, for the record, it is also 8 years / 80,000 miles.
