Need electrical help ASAP!

I started my car today and noticed the voltage was way down then usual.I was always at about 14 on voltage and today it was about 10.I thought it was because of the interior light I left on overnight and figured I'd drive around to raise the alternator output. It did not go back up what so ever!! Battery and alternator are less than a year old.Why is the voltage so low? Even my headlights when I drove at night were barely glowing....HELP!

If all of the connections are tight, have the battery checked.. Sometimes a cell can go bad, even a year old... Also the charging system...

Re: Need electrical help ASAP!

Have a local shop (the one that you bought the battery from would be good) do a load test on the battery and alternator.

Sounds to me like the battery simply isn't holding a charge.

Yup, that's what I was going to say, what you are describing is the alternator. A LOT of the rebuilds are crap.
