Need A/C help

AC wasnt working about a month ago so I charged the system because the gauge read low psi so I added some R134a to about 37psi and started working again. Now today the compressor won't kick on and it had 37psi still.
What should I look at next? Fuses are good. Thanks

If the system is off and the low side is @37 psi, you are most likely off on low pressure. System pressure is directly related to ambient temp, so you really can't go by that anyhow. Best bet would be to get a vacuum pump on the system to assure the non existence of any non condensibles such as air, and then weigh the charge in to tag. Anything less and you are kinda going in blind. A leak check would benefit you as well prior, to assure you don't draw in moisture from the vac. Do you have access to a vac pump?

Figured it out. It just needed more R134a. Bought another bottle and it kicked on after 5 more psi. Got it to 50psi with ambient temp being 100. Blowing cold now. Need AC when its a 100 with T tops off.

Glad to hear you got it going, I'd still look for a leak when you can.
