Re: Need a aftermarket autoshifter

I asked this a long time ago and I think brent said he had a hammer shifter modified to fit his 94. He sent me pics and it looked sweet as hell. Im just not sure if it was him or not that did it. Pm him and ask. If it was him ask to see the pics and shoot them my way cause id like to see it again.

i dont believe the hammer shifter is ratchet action, i really need that for my manual vavle body 4l60e. i miss shifts constantly. i want something i can just reach down and slam it foward, instead of having to carfully guide it to the next gear.

Re: Need a aftermarket autoshifter

Ah in the good old days when I had a 71 350 3 spd auto Chevelle I got what was called a "Dual Gate" shifter out of a GTO from a wrecking yard.
The way it worked was like a regular floor shifter unless you pushed it towards the right where it would only shift up one gear. You let off it and shift into the next gear by slamming it to the right again.
It worked great, looked and felt stock unless you needed it and it's too bad they never made one for our A4s.
