Name this tube

Can someone look at this picture and tell me what part of the fuel line system this is: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=s1qpzm&s=4

It is on a 95 3.4 firebird. I noticed it not connected just a few moments ago.

Bundled with the fuel lines, it should be the EVAP purge hose. Looks like there is a hole for it right there in your pic, under the oil cap (if that is the purge valve right there).

Yeah, I knew it fit there, I was just wondering what harm, if any, it could cause being unhooked. I have no idea how long its been like that.

It would not be purging any fumes from the gas tank and it would be drawing dirty air into the engine when purge was commanded.
