Mystery 89 Camaro, Mustang Buster???

Is there such a thing as a limited production 89 camaro nick named the "Mustang Buster"? According to the guy giving it to me the VIN # indicates it is this model. I'm looking to find anything I can about this car.

Maybe it was a dealership edition or something, I never heard of such a thing either. If there is such a car, I would be curious as to what is done to it considering the old fox-bodies gave the third gens a run for their money.

If he is telling you the VIN indicates this, he is mistaken or crazy. Might have been a dealer add-on (sounds nuts, even for a dealer), but was not something from the factory (like the VIN would indicate).

Mystery Camaro

I've searched high and low for info on this thing. I found nothing either. I think that the guy that sold this to my friend was full of poo poo and just said it to sell him the car. I saw it today and it is a 350 and a RS with a straight body so I may just take it anyway and do something with it as a project car. I just retired and have lots of time and no money.
thanks for the come back!

After that model came out, then the "mustang buster buster" was released; only to be followed by the buster buster buster....seriously, I never heard of a 3rd gen VIN as such.
