Question my fake supercharger

i have a b@m supercooler tranny cooler in front of my a/c condenser... one of the hoses running to it sprung a spraying leak just behind the radiator at the connection, which sprayed a good bit of tranny fluid over the front half of the engine for a good week before i could permanently fix it. this caused (i think) a VERY supercharger-like whistle to come from the pulley area in front of my block, directly relational to engine rpm, basically non existant at idle and drowned out by my exhaust completely (at least to the driver) at high rpm 3,500+. i cleaned the engine with degreaser, and it has since been weeks of leakless, clean pulleys... and the sound is just as prominent as it was day 1.

anyone think this sound could be something else i should be concerned with? any ideas? a friend of mine mentioned it could be a possible vacuum leak... but as far as ive investigated it has no other symtoms of that (like high idle, noticable loss of power, etc)

any input appreciated =]

Hmmm... all I can think of is a bad bearing in one of the accessories it my be coincidental but it happens. Try taking the belt off and spinning each pully by hand (not crank of course) if one makes a grinding noise you found the noisy culprit

Also make sure the inside of the belt grooves is not full of trans fluid.

That's my thought.

Mine did this too when I had a refridgerant leak right on the belt. It took forever before it quieted and still never was completely gone. I'm just about to get a new belt just to get rid of it.
