My buddy was behind me tonight and he said my car was throwing some sparks from the rear of the car, as if something electrical was shorting out. He said it wasn't doing it all the time, just once and awhile. I know this isn't really detailed, but I was just wondering if someone might know of something. I might have to let him drive my car tomorrow night so i can see for myself.

Maybe the u-joints are going out? I was following a friend once, saw sparks for a few seconds, then the u-joint exploded and showered my truck in needle bearings. Then the driveshaft fell out and he coasted to a stop. lol.

 

Is the car lowered? Do you have something hanging low that hits the pavement when the car goes over bumps or dips?

My friends say my car throws sparks but its just flames shooting out the tailpipes on deceleration cause the exhaust is so short.

 

what area and side?? are u dragging anything.. is it when u shift? ? etc

 

Nope, my car isn't lowered. It seems to throw sparks when I go around curves. Who knows..

is it a right or left turn?? something is probably coming undone and hitting the pavement?

 

I have seen people driving on tires so threadbare that the steel cords rubbing on the pavement threw sparks. No lie. :O:O
