Question MisFire? Rough Idle/Transmission hurting?

I recently put new plugs and wires in. I also ended up having to replace the radiator after breaking part of it off when trying to remove a tight hose (quite the mechanic huh? ).

Anyways, it hadn't been started in several months (for multiple reasons). I started it last night and it seemed fine. I drove it around today and it didn't go as well.

It is rought at idle- the RPM's drop and it feels like the car wants to jump forward.

While at a stop light, is the crankshaft connected to the transmission (A4) in a way that the transmission would cause the RPM's to drop? There is no change in the action of the car when I put it in neutral or park.

Also, I believe I might be losing a little coolant throught the transmission coolant lines- would that be responsible for such actions?

I am not getting a SES or any other type of light, nothing jumps out on the computer diagnostic tool I have, so it probably is not a mis-fire, right?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Is there a code or sure-fire way to determine if my optispark is dead?

I could have possibly gotten some radiator fluid on it when I took off the water pump.

Don't know alot about car's but my son had the same problem with his 92 firebird right after he changed the plugs and wire, his problem wound up being that he had crossed the plug wires
