I have been looking for a camaro for a while now but evey one I seem to find has over 120k miles on it. I need to know how long these engines and trans hold up on these cars? And how well the body as well. Iam not familiar with lt1's so I dont really know.

Just like any other car It all depends on how it was maintained, its somewhat of a gamble but i have seen camaros with near 200k on the clock.

 

I bought mine with 10,000 miles. The way a good majority of people drive them I wouldnt buy a high mileage one (over 50,000) myself and I'd want to know how it was driven and I'd check alot (rear tires, clutch)

 

about 4-5 yrs ago i was looking for a z28 and i found a 94 with 294000 miles onit.. same engine and transmission. he was trying to get $3k for it.. but man that was 4-5 yrs ago.. if that thing is still running.. it woul dhave like 350000+ on it

 

I bought mine with 220,000 on the motor. The trans had been rebuilt at least once before I got it. If the waterpump had not gone out, it would still be going on the original engine.
The body was really loose as far as flex goes but a set of subframes connectors fixed that. You just have to make sure the body is straight to start with.
