I shopped for micrometers for quite a while on Ebay. Anything with a brand name on it in decent shape will sell for what it's worth. I bid on probably over 100 items on Ebay, and it got to the point to where I was like 'screw it' and just bought new ones.

Thats exactly what I needed to know. And shoebox I was not offended, I just felt that information was not being given out for whatever reason. This was generalized towards everyone who was posting and not directly towards yourself. I apologize if it came across that way.

I will look into the calipers today at Sears and see what I can purchase. Luckily I have a 100 dollar gift certificate there that I havent used yet. I also imagine my father has some of these tools.

Much appreciated for pointing me in the correct direction.
