The tune can do a wide range of things,: rev limiter adjusment, disable speed limiter, premium gas power tuning, fan kick on temp. adjusments, ect. ect. Gains of 10 rwhp or more could be expected and it is safe to do on a 100K LT1. If you go to Madz28s site, he has a small tutorial on how to pull out your old PCM. It is very easy. Here is the link. http://www.madz28.com/faq.php#question8

Or do it like I did and buy the cable to connect your ALDL to a laptop and download a tune by email. I loved it and there was no downtime. In my old Caprice I dropped from a 14.82 stock with 3.08's in 50 degree weather to a 14.43 with 3.73's in 75 degree weather with no other changes. PCMforless has the best tune in my opinion.
