LT1 Trans Am Seats in LT1 Camaro
LT1 Trans Am Seats in LT1 Camaro
Alright guys, I got my LT1 Trans Am seats a week ago and I finally got around to throwing them in today. I got a problem though. The Trans Am seats connector is a large rectangular plug whereas the plug coming out of the carpet is a small rectangular plug. Also, there is no plug on the passenger side of my car. I had done research and everyone said that the seats just plugged right in. I took pics with my camera but left my cable at my apartment at school(home on spring break right now). I took the tracks off the seats and threw my camaro tracks on so I could move em around right now, but I want to get everything working right, so any help would be much appreciated.
Re: LT1 Trans Am Seats in LT1 Camaro
Thats the thing, im not sure what year they came out of. I got them on Ebay and emailed the seller about the year a few times with no response. They are from an LT1 Trans Am though, cuz everyone says that the LT1 Trans Am seats have adjustable front leg rests and are manual adjustments. LS1 Trans Am seats have no adjustable front leg rest and are power adjustments. Also, while im asking the question, does anyone have any idea if id be able to somehow splice the two harnesses together so I could have my Camaros power adjustments with the Trans Am air adjustments???

DOH
I guess I kinda forgot about that and figured that since there were plugs and lines on the seat, that I had everything. lol, guess not. Thanks Z95m6 for pointing out the obvious lol

Re: LT1 Trans Am Seats in LT1 Camaro
Alright, sounds good. Once summer break rolls around, ill have to get on that. Another question I have is if the passenger side bolster in this pic is normal. It looks like a common problem with the seats I see on Ebay, but i am curious as to the cause and if it can be fixed. To me it looks like it is a partially collapsed air bladder, but I am unable to fill them up right now, so I do not know. Also, dont mind the messed up controls, I simply bolted on my Camaros power tracks to the seat frame. I intend on fixing that with the TA wiring harness, which kind of brings me to another question, is there any way of having both the air and power tracks coexist under the bottom of that seat? And if so, can i simply splice in to the wiring harness to use the power track controls?

That seat pic is a drivers side and you ask about a pass. side pic
If you're talking about the wrinkles on the outside bolster that kind of happens on TA seats when they're not inflated. Mine will wrinkle up when they're not inflated so i keep them inflated most of the time. I'd just forget the power tracks. How often do you move your seat? i never move mine unless i'm gonna work under my dash and i still never need to move the drivers seat to work under the dash. I'd just add the TA wiring harness and air line and forget the power tracks.
