lt1 ps pump bolt question

i bought a used accessory braket and guess one of the holes that hodl the ps pump on is a little crossthreaded. so i didnt know this and went to tighten the powersteering pump and the top bolt will thread up but wont tighten. i pulled it out and put some red thread lock on it to help hold it in place.
my question is should this hold it there untill i get a chance to order a new braket from gm?

Re: lt1 ps pump bolt question

Try retapping the hole to the stock size first; if that doesn't work, then heli-coil it.

You want the bolt to be fully seated against the waterpump and bracket; loctiting it in place without it being fully seated will allow the pump to rock and eventually will bust the bolt off.
