Lt1 to Ls1 conversion, body & engine

How hard is it to convert an Lt1 car to an Ls1 car? Engine, drivetrain, and front end to be specific.

The consensus is going to be to just go out and buy an LS1 car.

pointless, is would cost waaay to much, just buy an ls1 if you want one, if you like the look just get new fenders/hood/bumber/bumber support and ull be good

lt1 z28 body style>ls1 z28 bodystyle

now an lt1 body style with an ls1 in it would be bad ***

Gee, I guess I was not the only one who thought a 98+ camaro looks like a giant pissed catfish.

The LT1 might take a beating in the performance department as old obsolete technology but I think the LT1 body style is leaps and bounds above the "catfish".
Let the flaming begin.

Thats just an opinion. But to answer the question posted, if you want the late model styling and engine I would just buy the real deal. It would definitely be easier and cheaper than converting.

I agree that the LS1 Pontiacs are badazzz.

I agree 100%. I will never own a LS1 Z28. How GM could change the nose to that ugly fish-style and actually say "yup, looks good" is completely beyond me. What a mistake to take an attractive car and kill it with such an ugly "update". Yuck.

The LS1 pontiacs, however are bad-***!

I guess I'll be the dissenting opinion, I happen to like the LS1 Camaros. But I still bought a Firebird, lol.

Same here. I think the LT1 noses are ugly as hell. I think it is the headlights that ruin it for me.

The headlights are what ruin it for me on the LS1's...looks like driving a Sebring around - notice I got the lowest mileage LT1 I could find as opposed to buying an LS1 Gotta love the engine though. Having about 40 more stock ponies is always nice.

It is more like 65-75 more stock ponies. The LS1 Camaro's do have a Sebring look to them, but the LT1 headlights shares too much in common with too many of 90's GM cars. I just can't get over the recessed square headlights.
