Question ls1 driveshaft question

I have a 96 z-28 6-speed, and i need to know if a drive shaft from a auto ls1 camaro will work in it, or does it have to be from a 6-speed ls1 car.

...except that a lot of V6's came with two piece drive shafts. They can be changed out to the one piece.

Re: ls1 driveshaft question

The one I got from a 94 Formula was slightly different than the one that came off my car. The shaft that goes into the transmission was slightly longer on the Formy, the rest slightly shorter, just the opposite on my car, and I think the Formula one was about a 1/4" longer overall? I don't know if that was changes due to year, transmission, or vehicle type, but I'd be interested to know if there's any more variations, and if there was any point to them. I've never heard of anyone having issues, and all the aftermarket vendors sell the same size for all 93-02.

Front yokes might be a little different in length, but overall length should be the same.
