Loud slam when foot is in it

Long story!

Old lady pulled out in front of me, took it to a body shop I work next to. New Paint and car fixed, looks great.

While the front end was off I decided to fix the oil leak:
replaced the Timing cover seals and gasket
oil pan gasket, removed the pan.

Had to lift the motor (remove bolts from motor mounts) and lower K-member to get the pan out. Got everything back together and I think I tore a seal because its leaking worse...bad!

Anyways when I drive and take off from a stop or get on it around a corner in 2nd, I get this bad bang/rattle. I think its the y-pipe hitting on the drivers side right under me. I checked the bolts on both mounts and they are tight. I could see some metal shavings on the pass. mount that were magnetic like on the mount area...

If it is a bad mount why is it bad after the repair and find before the accident?

confirm my noise and diagnosis.

Without even looking at the mount itself, if your shifter jumps up when you get on the gas, then it's your transmission mount. My shifter would rise a good two inches when I hammered it with a broken transmission mount. I got under there, and sure enough, split in two pieces.
