Loosey-Goosey Turn Signal
Loosey-Goosey Turn Signal
Hey Guys. For a while now I've had a loosey-wobbly turn signal. Basically when the turn signal auto-cancels after a turn, it half-connects and makes the left turn signal and the turn signal (on the dash) lights up dimly, but does not blink. If I touch it (lightly up/down) it wobbles a little bit. Anyone know what you need to do to fix this? New parts or just a little adjustment? Thanks.
Where the metal arm attaches to the turn signal switch .
But, you still have to get into the column to access it.
Not hard w/ the proper tools - a real PITA w/o , and a real possibility of damage to the column as the shaft is designed to collapse, and methods that involve beating on or pulling on the wheel by hand can cause damage.
Fortunately, the tools are relatively cheap & are probably at your local parts store.

You will need a steering wheel puller & a lock plate puller.
This is an older column, but gives you an idea:

You won't have to go nearly as far into it as this shows.
Hope this helps !
