LM or cutout

hey guys just want to know wut u guys think. I already have acutout on my car, but i think its responsible for setting off the SES light so i was thinking about getting LM. So should i get LM or just keep stock exhaust with cutout and put the LM money toward something else?? let me know wut u think.

I would put it towards something else, like headers.

There is no way the cutout should trip the ses light.Something else is wrong.I have cutout on my 99 ta and it works fine.

I would just leave the cutout and not get the loudmouth. With the loudmouth it will be loud all the time and with the cutout it can be loud when you want it to be and with and electric cutout it takes only a few seconds to open or close.

Also lots of places like my city are starting to really crack down on loud cars so the cutout makes more sense from that point of view too.I think the day of loud cars is coming to and end as people just put in laws without a vote and make them illegal.

At least with my cutout I can open it up once in awhile.

the cutout shouldnt trigger any codes as already stated. I probably open + close mine 5 times every time I drive it. Perhaps its something with your wiring???

Could it possibly mess with the o2 sensors having the cutout always open when its been raining a lot maybe moisture through something off? is that even a possibility or have i just had bad luck going through a cat and 02 sensors in 5 monthes?

Having a cutout at the back shouldn't do anything to make o2s go bad or cats.Cats and o2 can go bad from car running too rich though.Did you add longtubes without tuning..any other problems making car run rich..

Where did you put the cutout? At the end of the I-pipe, right befor the axle? If so, there shouldn't be any reason for it to mess with the O2s, they're nowhere near there. But yeah, I say stay with the cutout. When you go headers, you'll be glad you won't have something as loud as the LM on there ALL THE TIME.
