Unhappy Light Bulb Question !

Morning !

Simple as it sounds, I am having difficulties with the small bulb in the door panel that illuminates the window switch & door switch.

It appears to be very similar to the bulb that is used for the shifter ( A4 ) , and according to my Haynes manual it just pulls out ( OF THE SOCKET - I can get the bulb & it's connector out of the door panel w/ no problem ).

Umm, yeah ...

I tried wiggling & pulling to no avail. I suspect that the connector needs to be disassembled, but nothing I have tried worked.

I am about ready to go hit a junkyard & see about an entire bulb/socket assembly, complete w/ wires, but sure hate the thought of cutting & splicing.

Anybody had to replace this bulb ?

All tips & tricks area appreciated !

Thanks !

Britt

Re: Light Bulb Question !

I just noticed that my driver's side bulb is burned out yesterday. I haven't gotten around to opening it up yet, so I'll be watching this thread to see if there's a trick I need to know.
