Keyless remote trunk issue

Lately when I press the trunk button on the remote, the trunk will not open. I have to use the key to open the trunk. The doors lock and unlock just fine with the remote. When I press the trunk button on the remote, the only thing that happens is the interior light in the car goes on, thats bout it. Any ideas?

Does the power hatch button inside the car work the hatch still? If not, then it's a problem with the power release. If that works though, then maybe it's a problem simply with your key-fob??

Yes, the power button in the car works.

Have you tried changing the battery or cleaning the contacts in the key fob?

So I cleaned the contacts in the remote and I still have the same issue. I tried the second remote that came with the car and the exact same thing happens:

The lock and unlock works just fine but when presseing the trunk button on the remote, all that happens is the light in th ecar goes on. What does this mean? I figured maybe the remote is bad but its weird that it should be happening with both remotes (original from the factory). Do I order a new remote? Anyone ever use http://www.keylessrides.com ?

But when I press the trunk button in the glove box, the trunk open just fine.

This happens to my 95 from time to time. I have removed my passenger side kick panel and moved the connector around. That seems to cause the trunk release to begin working again. One day I hope to de-oxit the connector and maybe make the fix more permanent.
