K&N oil filters?

I wouldn't get just the air filter. It alone isn't worth the money, because the rest of the air induction isn't any good. Save a little bit more and pick up a Cold Air Induction kit. Then you'll feel a difference.

When did this happen?

I think its worth it for that nut too. And the fact that it is a great oil filter and its strong doesn't hurt either.
Here's a little story to make you think about getting one.
I got my car, and changed the oil shortly after. The assclown at whoever tightened it way to much,and i just couldn't get the filter off. I was under my car, and put all i had into it, and finally put so much pressure on it with the oil filter wrech, that the whole filter COLLAPSED
I called my dad freaking out, he said get a bigass screwdriver, jam it through,and turn. Simple enough, right? So i find a massive screwdriver that is at least a foot long. Stick it through, and turn. Guess what happens? If you guessed the filter started to tear, instad of loosening,your correct .
So he came over, and we both got under my car,and we eventuall had the filter torn apart down to right below the gasket,and we tried to kind of hammer it off, by sticking a screwdriver/chisel in one of the holes and hitting that to try to get it to break loose.
No luck
Started changing the oil at ~430pm. We both crawled out from under my car at 2am or so. Reason we crawled out,was because we were just gonna have it towed to a shop where they have a lift.
It took them over an hour to get it off.And these are ASE certified mechanics.
All that,just from overtightnening a very,very,very poorly made oil filter.
Fram=major,major,major suck.
I knew right then that i was DEFINATLEY getting a K&N next oil change,just for that nut.
