Exclamation Intermittent wiper troubleshooting

When i go to turn on my wipers, 1 of 3 things occurs.
1) Wipers work fine on all speed settings.
2) Wipers wont work unless i set them to high speed, in which case my voltage guage drops dramatically, lights dim and wipers start to slowely work and then speed up and voltage goes back up.
3)they will be working fine, then suddely stop and wont work again until i turn the car back on again and they re-set themselves.

Possible problems??? Dont know if voltage drops is from weak electrical circuit somewhere? Also where is the where is the Wiper Motor circuit board located? Could it be getting wet and cause problems?
Seems like others are having similar problems from posts i have read, but im pretty sure that its not the wiper motor.

Any comments or posts appreciated!!!

Re: Intermittent wiper troubleshooting

I beleive all the controls for the wipers are located on the motor itself as a assembly. More than likely the wiper motor is going bad

Re: Intermittent wiper troubleshooting

I agree, from the cars I've worked on... every time there's a probably with wipers it's the motor.
