Um..this is probably dumb but i figured id ask anyways. Cant hurt. I think im missing like a little cap (i circled the place where it should go). If i just leave it like this will it hurt anything? and where can i get one of those, autozone or something? Sorry for the newbness

technically, no, it won't hurt anything on its own, but its purpose is to keep dirt/moisture out of the A/C valve, I think you might be able to get replacements at an auto parts store, won't be identical to stock, but it will function the same

It has the same function as the cap on a tire valve.

 

If the AC was worked on recently, you might find it lying somewhere in the engine compartment near the valve, unless they put it in their pocket.
