Question I need helpl replacing the Dash pad on a 1997 Firebird Formula.

Hi Guys!

I have a 1997 Firebird Formula with 5.7 engine 28kmiles on the clock.

My dash pad is cracked where it blows air on the windshield.

I need to know what steps to take to replace it. How hard is it to do?

I ordered the dash pad this evening from my local dealer. It cost me $183.00.

The dealer said that it would require the entire dash to be taken out of the car. They said it would take 4.6 hours to do costing me $348.00.

I was hoping that you didn't have to take out the whole dash because it would never be the same again.

Thanks Lee!

Guys How do you get the Sclips on the pillar trim to turn loose of the trim on the pilliars? Is there a special tool to buy to do this?

Do you pull strait out on the trim towards the outside of the car?

THanks For your help! Lee!
